| hi evryone, i did pony camp a few weeks ago. It was great and we did loads of stuff. we cleaned saddles and bridles, we mucked out stables, we did an obstacle course and had a party, we rode without stirrups and we rode outside, we had a test, we dressed up the ponies and I won sixth best rider. it was amazing. also, last saturday i was at my ridin lesson n we had 2 ride outside cos of work goin on in d sand scul. it rained alot but it was fun n i cantrd on oliver. |

Bring old clothes 2 wer 4 most of d week n bring pale jodz n a nice tee 4 d last day cos der is usually a tack n turnout day r sumting like dat wer u hav 2 luk dressy. Always hav a drink n a bar in ur pocket in case u get hungry/thirsty. Baby oil adds a shine 2 ur horses coat 4 d tak n turnout if der is 1. Take a spoon of honey at nite cos u mite get a sOr troat if u dont. B warm n dont get 2 hot either r u cud get sick n miss out on d gud stuf. Make a list of stuff u need so u dont 4get anytng. Bring treats 4 ur fav pony. listen 2 ur iinstructer. make lodza frenz 2 hang out wit at PC. Hav lodza fun n dont be bord. Go 2 bd early so u wont b tired n hav proper meals espesh brekkie. let me no if u need more advice! Luv Ashlii!

| Emz and Roxy! Do you own a pony? I have a cute pony called Tinsel. Recently when riding her I hit my head off a tree branch but I leaned back and it wasn't to bad. Tinsel didn't mean to go under it instead of round it! That was at the field I keep her in. She is in with bay gelding and a chestnut mare! They're not mine but they are gorgeous. There is another field with 5 horses in it next door though so if the 2 big horses do go Tinsel will have them!

Me and Edward went to a show on Saterday{ we compeet a lot} and i won 4 th in pony club pony and best Laderdale{my pony club branch}. Edward won his working hunter class,2nd in pony club pony,5th and 3rd in games,and a cup for best Laderdale and 2 medals on his pony Butterfly{my old pony. Butterflys mum is one of the best show ponies in Scotland.

| Hi evryone. Finally, I hav my own horse. I am only leasing her for de summer but it still feels like I own her. I got her just yesterday and i was ages outside helping to put up de fencing in de field for her. It's been ages since der was a horse in our fields and i'm really pleased with her. Her name is Amber and she is 16hh. She was a breeding horse just last year but now she has been gelded and trained to take riders on her back. She had a foal last year and now she is a yearling but they r still inseperable so we decided to lease them 2gether so when i ride out through the fields on Amber her little roan yearling is always tagging along after us. Her name is Molly and she's really sweet but she still won't cum too close to me. I luv de 2 of them very much becos Amber always cums ovr 2 de field gate when she sees me outside and she takes carrots and apples from my hand now. Luv Cloda. x |

I haven't done any shows as I am still getting used to him. I don't think Larky likes my whip as I had it with me one day and I was trotting, then Larky just started cantering without me doing anyyhing with the whip. In the end he stopped and I decided to fall off. He then trotted off down the track to the stables. We got him back and went back into the school. Because Larky was realy cheeky he only got 1 treat. |

| 2 cloda hey sorry i took so long to write bk to u i havent been on in along time. doves actually a girl lol :) no worryz. normally when u by horses the previous owners hav given it a name but anywayz it hard to fit in riding during the school week cuz of the horrible weather but sometimes i hav to go straight from school to lunge instead of riding sometimes i may hav a lil sit on her cuz if not she will be really fizzy by the weekend (not fun to hav a fizzy pony) i normally just cope as well as i can its not easy for anyone in the winter specially wen your ponie doesnt want to come in at nite ! |

We jumped clear but the cpurse was ded spooky with loads of sppoky fillers n he jumped a jump at the last min n i lost me stirrups n had 2 stop lol! So i didjt get placed but im really proud of him! He hasnt been to a show since June tho, so he was really good. Speedy is ut in the field with 2 yearlings now n she keeps chasing then round but cos they r babies n full of energy she cant catch them

| hey every1, does any1 wanna chat, i own a nutty new forest pony called dove hence the name, lol, she is called dove and is 3 years old and is bay with dapples, she is really well behaved even though she is quite young, me and my older sis have broken her in and she is getting ridden about 2-3 times a week, some people we know said to only ride her once but we asked the vet and he said it was okay to ride her 3 days as she was getting bored being left in her field, so she is happier being ridden, oh and one ast funny thing when my sister hacked her out the other day she was walking along the road and at every man whole cover thing my sis tried to walk her over she jumped them cuz she didnt like the sound of it, lol luckily she settled down and my sister is takeing her cubbing in a few weeks, im not going because im against it :( |

I fell off me stirrup leathers went flyin, i lost my whip sumwhere n da saddle was under his tum! N e did da same in da 2nd class i entered!! So my instructor got on im n Winston did da same wiv him too!! I av got a trainin session 2moz tho so that shud b fun!! I still came 3rd tho! lol |

There is a driving show on sunday i cant wait coz im competiting with Faith n Harmony! and on the monday im doing my last show with Hope :( we're gonna do prettiest mare, and a small showjumping course (only 3ft). | GREAT NEWS!!!!!! Hope is getting 2 small 4 me, so she will be handed down 2 my little sis! AND I AM GONNA GET A SHOWJUMPING PONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we have looked @ a chestnut mare(called Honeydream) , 11yrs old, who has competed @ HOYS 3 times and can jump over 5ft! and then a dapple grey mare aged 13 (called Raindrop)who has competed at HOYS once and can jump just under 6ft :) the last one we saw was a bay gelding (named Razor Sharp)who can jump over 4ft he is 8yrs old never competed @ HOYS before. | hi, im new to this site but i think its fab and nice to know that other people feel just as passionate about horses as i do! i dont have my own horse as my parents cant rly afford it and are not that fond of them but id rly luv to compete some day. i go to littlebourne farm and ride on yasmin for most of the time, shes a gorgeous dark bay but can be rly sensitive to the aids, so a slight nudge can send her shooting off but i love her loads. i miss riding at my old school that went into redundancy, there was a pony there called honey, and i adored her - i just hope that shes happy wherever she is now. im a bit to big to be riding ponies now, and the first time i cantered on a horse was rly scary but loads of fun. on the topic, i dont think it matters whether girls tend to fall off horses more then boys - they say u have to fall off at least seven times to call urself a true rider - im not trying to encourage falling off though! oh well that was something my instructor told me, i think it was jsut suppose to make me feel better though lol k, i better go omg ive written loads lol c ya later ppl :) |

| just been on a long hack with mi m8s Liz n Leah. We started off on the bridleway, n Liz's pony Emerald keep spooking at birds. Liz had 2 get off and lead Emerald 4 a while. She mounted agen wen we got 2 a road.A speedin car sent Leah flyin off her pony Blackbird, n luckily she landed on the grass. If she'd landed on da road it cud have been much worse. Blackbird keep tryin 2 snack n Leah wo gettin really fustr8ed LOL! Hope wo bein good untill we got off the road 2 a feild 4 a canter. she started gallopin really fast n buckin. Eventually she calmed down n i wo really out of breath. We dismounted and led da ponies home, but it was really tiring. Hope kept headbuttin me n tryin 2 nip me! lol. |

Faith and I won the best groomed Shetland(i let mi m8 take Harmony 4 dat event)a black shetland called Blackjack came 2nd and Harmony came 3rd. there was only 5 shetlands. in the handy pony Hope was brill we came 4th. in Jumping we came 2nd a girl called Liz and her horse (a 15hh) Cakes won. we all had a lil party after it was gr8 fun!!!! lol luv maddie |

| we do jumping, cantering, trotting poles n stuff like that.i ride evry sunday. i used to help out but now u hav 2 pass a test. i no ill pass coz ive been working wid horses for years n years but its to cold at da moments(as mi mum says) i really wanna do it soooon!!! im gonna do it at da end of feb.
i rode a lazy piebald called sparkey (mr. sparkles). it was mi 1st time riding him( its coz angel wz lame :() mi m8 hu goes down da yard refuses 2 eva ride him coz he bucked once haaaaa. she finks shes so gr8 at ridin but shes been ridin for bout five years and can only jump 1 ft cross jumps!
i loves sparkey n we managed to do some double jumps( eventually after he got going!!!)
he is gr8 but i felt sry 4 mi bby gurl :

Yvonne was asked to present a dressage lecture demonstration with some of the horses from our stables. Cor it was very good fun, there were loads of people there. Yvonne rode one horse called Mouse, and then Steph, who helps Yvonne, rode a second horse called Morroco. They were both real super stars, so well behaved even when all the people clapped.I think they are going to ask her to do another one, so I might go as well next time!! | HI, why dont u try cutting down the amount of grass your pony has like putting him in a smaller paddock in summer and putting him out later and bringing him in earlier. you can check his he's quite laminitic bye feeling his crest both ends will always be wobally and if he is quite solid in the middle he could be quite laminitic to. i hope this helps- the thing i said is what i had been tort at my old yard as i was helping out with a pony that was on full livery for 4 days- i had to do everything for it. he had really bad laminitis. have you read one of the old PONY magazines they had like 2 pages full of what to do with a laminatic pony. hope this all helps ! |

| oh yeh, in my lesson we do quite high jumps but not really show jumps. we do little courses as well. angel is a jumping horse and when she sees a jump she gets so excited. she does little bucks of excitement and she gallops towards the jumps and jumps them soooo high!!! i hope speedy os ok

| Hi again everybody. Horses and ponies do change their teeth from 'baby' to 'adult' teeth at certain ages. As a general guide the front two incisor teeth ( called the centrals) change at approx 2 and a half years old, the next tooth one either side of the centrals (called the laterals) change at 3 and a half, and the ones next to the laterals (called the corners) change at 4 and a half years old. This is just a guide, but it does sound as though Dove is changing her central teeth into her first pair of adult teeth. Hope this helps you to stop worrying. Bye for now |

| to over take the quad bike, u have to find short cuts. the first oe is on the left and the second on the right. when you are through the shortcut, u have to halt ur horse over the road so it blocks the quadbike. u do this twice.

When you are choen the riding school you wish to go to, make sure it is ABRS or BHS approved. This means the horsesand facilites are safe and the instructors are fully qualified. From Abby. I hope this helps someone out there! |

| Really sorry to hear that Speedy has injured herself.One of my mates, Rocky, fractured his splint bone, he had to stay in the stable on box rest for a while. But then he was fine. He is now as good as new, and does lots of exciting stuff, including showjumping. So try not to worry too much, I'm sure Speedy will be fine. Keep us all updated on her progress, and give her lots of carrots from me. If you ask your mum if you can email Yvonne with your postal address, she will send Speedy a special Pony Galaxy Rosette. | Speedy had an x ray and she has fractured her splint bone. She is goin to have another x ray in February to see how she is. I cant ride Speedy until Febraury bit if wen she has her x ray again she is still not better i still cant ride. |

| Don't worry about Speedy 2 much, i'm sure she'll b fine! Hope was lame last year, 4 months after i got her, she was kicked by a mean palomino. The gelding was wiv the farrier 4 the first time. The pony (called Tucker) reared up when i was leading Hope past 2 get 2 her stable. Tucker then turned round and kicked Hope. Hope was a superstar and behaved perfectly when the vet was there. tlk 2 u soon, luv maddie |

| Hi maddie and Amy 2morro Speedy is goin to have an xray to see if she has fractured her leg. I really hope she is ok, but now i cant ride for months but a girl sed i can ride her pony weneva i want. But i am really sad now and Speedy has to be on bos rest for a couple of days! |

| Hi Maddie i am not too good cos i have had to have the vet out to Speedy cos in her field there is this really horrible mare called Tara and she has give Speedy a really nasty kick and the vet sed that Speedy cud havew fractured her leg! |
